Held from 31 March to 4 April at Sai Gon University, the Mathematics Olympiad is an annual event organised by the 水果派AV解说 Mathematical Society, in collaboration with leading academic institutions, and supported by the 水果派AV解说 Union of Science and Technology Associations and the Central Committee of the 水果派AV解说 Students鈥 Association.

The competition aims to identify and nurture mathematical talents, enhance the quality of teaching and learning, inspire a passion for mathematics among the younger generation, and foster academic exchange among students and lecturers nationwide.

On 18-19 November, the VNUHCM-University of Science successfully hosted the international scientific conference themed “Emerging Trends in Sustainable Chemistry” (ETSC 2024) at the Nguyen Van Cu campus.

On the morning of 12th November, the Information Technology and Communication Subcommittee officially opened as part of at the 水果派AV解说. The event, organised by the , featured the participation of numerous scientists, lecturers, researchers, and students in the field of information technology, all united to share and update the latest advancements in the discipline.

The conference featured presentations by Associate Professor Tr岷 Cao Vinh, Vice Chancellor of ; Associate Professor Tr岷 L锚 Quan, President of the VNUHCM-University of Science; along with numerous experts from Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, and France.

At the conference, Assoc. Prof. Tr岷 L锚 Quan emphasised the importance of in expanding knowledge and promoting international cooperation between organisations both within and outside the country. Furthermore, the conference provided an opportunity for young researchers to exchange insights and learn from leading experts in the field.

The conference attracted over 200 scientists and experts from around the globe, featuring 120 presentations that included 60 oral presentations and 60 poster presentations. The plenary session, led by Professor Laurent Duclaux from France, an expert in nanomaterials, particularly in absorption, emphasised both theoretical concepts and practical applications. These discussions held tremendous potential for various fields, including biomedicine, renewable energy, environmental science, and electronics.

Hosted by the VNUHCM-University of Science, the International Conference on Advanced and Multifunctional Materials – ICAMM’24 affirmed the position of Vietnamese science within the international community. The programme aimed to serve as a bridge between scientists, motivate the younger generation to engage in research, and foster the development of materials science both domestically and internationally.

From 11th to 26th November, the VNUHCM-University of Science hosted the 14th Scientific Conference, providing a dynamic interdisciplinary academic platform for scientists from both 水果派AV解说 and abroad, as well as students. The event marked the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of (VNUHCM).

During the conference on the afternoon of 11th November, Assoc. Prof. Tr岷 Minh Tri岷縯, Vice President of the University of Science, emphasised that the Scientific Conference had been a long-standing tradition for nearly 30 years. He highlighted its role as a key intellectual forum, showcasing the practical applications of science in everyday life.

covered a broad range of topics across various fields, including Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Environmental Science, Materials Science, Oceanography, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Environmental Technology, Educational Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications, Nuclear Physics, Medical Physics, Educational Science, and Integrated Science.

The event brought together 828 scientific papers presented across 7 subcommittees and 6 international conferences, featuring 548 speakers from both domestic and international institutions. Selected papers were published in journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. Additionally, three international events were held before and after the main conference series, contributing over 260 papers and bringing the total number of presentations to more than 1,000.

Assoc. Prof. Tr岷 Minh Tri岷縯 stated, 鈥淭his is the 14th time the conference has been held, and I am pleased to report that the quality of the papers presented received positive and objective feedback from the advisory council. Many new and highly applicable topics were discussed, particularly those with potential for commercialisation.鈥

It also offered a valuable opportunity for domestic scientists to engage with the international scientific community, fostering connections between experts and students.

As part of the programme, the University of Science hosted several international specialised workshops on topics such as physical engineering, MEMS biosensors, advanced materials, sustainable chemistry trends, and advanced circuits and systems. Notably, a scientific seminar between the University of Hallym (South Korea) and the University of Science was anticipated to be a major highlight, promoting academic exchange and collaboration.
