Discussions also covered the establishment of a roadmap for an elite doctoral education programme in the coming phase.

For the Honours Programme in Mathematics, the parties agreed to implement a series of advanced lectures featuring national and international experts invited by VIASM. Furthermore, VIASM shall provide financial support to the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science to facilitate the organisation, management, and operation of the programme according to high academic standards.

Professor Ng么 B岷 Ch芒u outlines the strategic orientation for enhancing educational quality and the selection mechanisms for the Honours Programme in Mathematics.

According to the proposal, the Honours class expects to enrol a maximum of 30 students per cohort, with all successful candidates receiving 100% tuition fee support.

Furthermore, outstanding students will be considered for monthly stipends at two distinct levels; the 15 million VND per month stipend requires candidates to pass a direct interview with Professor Ng么 B岷 Ch芒u and the VIASM Professional Council, while the remaining students shall undergo a specialised assessment to qualify for the 7.5 million VND per month support level.

Secondly, Thong Nhat Hospital will serve as a host institution for HCMUS students and postgraduates, providing opportunities for site visits, short-term observations, and long-term internships. Furthermore, continuous professional development will be enhanced through the exchange of lecturers and specialists for advanced education modules.

On 19 January, the Faculty of Geology at VNUHCM鈥揢niversity of Science (HCMUS) held an introductory meeting with the Central 水果派AV解说 Geological Division at their headquarters in Gia Lai Province. The discussion aimed towards the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two institutions.

The HCMUS delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Ph岷 Trung Hi岷縰, Dean of the Faculty of Geology, accompanied by researchers Ph岷 Minh and Nguy峄卬 Th峄 Tr瓢峄漬g Giang. Joining the delegation was Assoc. Prof. Kenta Kawaguchi from Hiroshima University (Japan), who is currently engaged in collaborative research with the Faculty. Representing the Central 水果派AV解说 Geological Division were Dr. D瓢啤ng Ng峄峜 T矛nh, Division Head; M.Sc. Tr岷 Huynh, Deputy Division Head; M.Sc. B霉i Xu芒n Ki峄乽, Head of Administration; and M.Sc. Dr. D瓢啤ng Ng峄峜 T矛nh highlighted the significant potential for partnership in mineral exploration and extraction鈥攕pecifically regarding rare earth elements鈥攏oting that joint efforts to enhance analytical capacity would bolster both research efficacy and practical applications.

Reflecting on the high calibre of the University’s education, MSc. B霉i Xu芒n Ki峄乽 commended the professional competence and work ethic of HCMUS alumni currently employed at the Division. The Head of Administration further expressed a keen desire to welcome more students from the Faculty for internships and future career opportunities.

The two parties reached a consensus on strategic directions for education and scientific research, with a planned cooperation framework spanning three to five years. Under this agreement, undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as lecturers from the Faculty of Geology, will be granted opportunities to participate in internships and research projects focused on mineral and urban geology managed by the Division. Furthermore, the Division will provide geological specimens for the Faculty鈥檚 gallery and collaborate with academic staff to advance laboratory analysis and high-tech applications.

As part of the programme, Assoc. Prof. Kenta Kawaguchi presented recent research findings and discussed international cooperation in geology and minerals, opening new avenues for future scientific development.

On behalf of the delegation, Assoc. Prof. Ph岷 Trung Hi岷縰 extended gratitude to the Central 水果派AV解说 Geological Division for the warm reception and for providing invaluable practical environments for HCMUS students and researchers. On 21 November, the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Business Association (HQVGBA), in collaboration with VNUHCM-University of Science (HCMUS), organised a Unitour as part of the Green Building 鈥 Green Consumption Programme 2025鈥2026. The Unitour鈥檚 theme was ‘Applied Science for Green Enterprises in 水果派AV解说.’ The event aimed to promote the ‘triple helix’ cooperation model鈥攗niversity, enterprise, and governing agency鈥攖o integrate applied science into the process of green innovation, and simultaneously connect businesses with the future scientific and technological human resource pool.

Speaking at the event, MSc. V膬n Ch铆 Nam鈥擵ice President of the University鈥攁ffirmed that the requirement to strengthen links between the government, academia, and enterprise is being emphasised in numerous national development strategies. According to the Vice President, the Unitour provided an opportunity for the parties to identify common ground, thereby fostering substantive cooperative projects. The Vice President stressed: 鈥淭o meet the requirements of green transformation, the University鈥檚 research and training must also undergo a strong shift. We are preparing resources concerning infrastructure and staff, and stand ready to accompany enterprises in sustainable production, as well as solving technical problems arising from the green standards set by the market.鈥

Prof. Ng么 膼岷 Nghi峄噋 – Head of the External Relations Office, HCMUS; Ms T峄 L锚 Thanh Vy – Deputy General Director of Intermix International Flour Joint Venture Company; and Dr Hu峄硁h K峄 Tr芒n – Chairman of the Members鈥 Council and Director of Lan H岷 Cosmetics Manufacturing Co., Ltd. The discussion focused on five key areas: enterprise R&D demands; the University鈥檚 capacity to meet those demands; the triple-helix cooperation model; high-quality human resources; and the future direction of green technology.

From the academic perspective, Assoc. Prof. Ng么 膼岷 Nghi峄噋 shared that HCMUS always values the spirit of lifelong learning and professional ethics鈥攖wo competencies integrated into the University鈥檚 graduate output standards. The Professor analysed that enterprises and academia often have a 鈥榩hase difference鈥 in goals鈥攕cientists pursue deep, long-term research, while enterprises require quick results to meet business strategies. The Professor emphasised: 鈥淢ost research within the University is still limited to a laboratory scale. For commercialisation, enterprises need to participate early, collaborating right from the testing phase.鈥

From the market perspective, Ms T峄 L锚 Thanh Vy noted that the demand for product innovation is increasingly tied to criteria that are green, safe, and environmentally friendly. The company is actively seeking raw materials and processes aligned with green science to meet the increasingly stringent requirements of consumers and export markets.

According to Dr Hu峄硁h K峄 Tr芒n, the most important foundation for sustainable production is professional ethics. The doctor argued that the misuse of active ingredients, excessive advertising, or inflating product prices for luxurious packaging harms the community. The doctor stated: 鈥淧rofessionals must maintain boundaries, preserve reputation, and prioritise community benefit over immediate profit.鈥

The programme also created conditions for students to access enterprise realities, understanding recruitment requirements, internship criteria, and the necessary competencies when joining R&D teams in the fields of cosmetics, food, and the environment. This provided an opportunity for the participants to gain a clearer understanding of their future profession, while also opening up possibilities for participating in applied projects with enterprises.
