On the morning of 17th September, at Ph煤 An Bamboo Village in Ben Cat Town, the Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee, the World Bamboo Organisation, 水果派AV解说 National University Ho Chi Minh City, the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee, VNUHCM-University of Science, and the Ph煤 An Bamboo Village Management Board jointly hosted the 4th World Bamboo Seminar in 2022.

Among those attending the seminar were Assoc. Prof. Nguy峄卬 Minh T芒m, the Vice Chancellor of VNUHCM; Mr. Michel Abadie, the President of the World Bamboo Organisation; Mr. Nguy峄卬 V膬n D脿nh, the Vice Chairman of the B矛nh D瓢啤ng Provincial People’s Committee; Ms. Nguy峄卬 Th峄 Ho脿ng Y岷縩, the Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation and Rural Development at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; Assoc. Prof. Tr岷 L锚 Quan, the President of VNUHCM-University of Science; Dr. Di峄噋 Th峄 M峄 H岷h, the Chairman of the Ph煤 An Bamboo Village Project; along with nearly 200 lecturers, experts, and researchers from both domestic and international institutions.

During the seminar, leading experts from Vietnam and around the world presented thematic reports related to bamboo. Topics included an introduction to Vietnamese bamboo species, solutions for the conservation and propagation of bamboo based on global experiences, the production of handicraft products from bamboo using advanced techniques, the role and application of bamboo in architecture and construction, local strategies for greening bare land with bamboo to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and the development of new and advanced materials from bamboo and bamboo fibres as substitutes for traditional wood materials.

Within the framework of the seminar, from 16th to 18th September at Ph煤 An Bamboo Village, a variety of meaningful activities took place, including exhibitions of bamboo varieties and products, demonstrations of tissue culture techniques for bamboo propagation, cultural and artistic exchanges related to bamboo, and the announcement of results from the bamboo architectural design contest.
